Procurement Team Overview 
The Procurement team is responsible for supporting Relativity in acquiring goods and services from third-party providers. The team helps internal stakeholders define budget requirements for purchasing decisions. Procurement operates in a business partner approach cross collaborating with internal stakeholders in all aspects of a supplier commercial transaction from source to pay, and vendor management issues. The Procurement Team works closely with the Finance, Legal, IT, and Enterprise Risk Management teams.  
 
Legal Intern Overview 
The Procurement JD Intern will work under the direction of the Senior Director of Procurement and Global Real Estate and the Head of Procurement.  Additionally, this role will be exposed to work the Legal and Enterprise Risk Management teams perform as part of the Procurement cycle. The intern will develop contract review and analysis skills, and learn about contract processes, automation, and reporting.    
 
This will be an in-office part-time role, 15-20 hours per week. Initial term period: January through end of April 2024.

Role Responsibilities

  • The Procurement JD intern will primarily be responsible for: the review of all existing vendor records (mainly contracts and statements of work) in multiple systems, research, help develop category management strategy for purchasing, support the team transition into a new Sourcing and Procurement system, and any other project as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Must be a current student pursuing a Juris Doctor degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exercise good judgement, respect colleagues and work with integrity
  • Team player
  • Contract experience
  • Corporate paralegal experience - nice to have
