You'll be the go-to person for our customers who require assistance with highly technical or sophisticated products, as well as for customer installations and training. With your passion for technology, you'll provide world-class support that exceeds customer expectations.
A position that demands expertise in IBM AIX, P-Series servers, IBM Virtualisation (VIO) technologies, and RHEL server technologies. Requires experience in managing and supporting a distributed infrastructure environment, with certifications in AIX or RHEL being a plus. The role involves identifying issues, investigating root causes, implementing fixes, and adhering to defined change management processes.
Key Responsibilities:

administering and supporting multiple systems in a complex and distributed environment, including the day to day management of resources and issues.

Installing, configuring, and upgrading infrastructure systems; experience of NIM is desirable.

Identify & take ownership of issues and resolve them according to priority and impact.

Investigate the root-cause of incidents and implement fixes rather than workarounds where possible.

Follow change management processes as defined.

Administer and support multiple systems in a complex and distributed environment, manage day-to-day resources and issues.

Required Technical & Professional Experience:

7+ Years of experience in supporting IBM AIX (6.1, 7.1, 7.2) and P-Series server technologies in a business infrastructure environment is a must.

Experience of administering and supporting multiple systems in a complex and distributed environment, including the day to day management of resources and issues.

Experience of systems management using IBM Virtualisation technologies (VIO) is essential.

Experience of supporting RHEL server technologies is essential.
PreferredTechnical & Professional Experience:

Experience in supporting IBM AIX (6.1, 7.1, 7.2) and P-Series server technologies.

AIX or RHEL certifications relevant to systems administration would be preferable.
