This position i in support of HP Instant Ink, a worldwide supplies subscription initiative led out of Print Hardware Systems Business Unit. HP Instant Ink represents one of the top strategic priorities for the printing business thus a critical success factor to generating future revenue growth for HP. As the market share and financial leader in the global inkjet market, HP’s supplies business was built on the highly successful “razor and blade” business model. HP Instant Ink represents a new subscription-based business model that is designed to transform the printing market by radically changing the perceived value of HP ink. This is high visibility initiative that has
been reviewed at the highest levels in the company.
North America INSTANT INK Business Manager
We are looking for a creative and analytic individual to join the HP WW Instant Ink team and lead the North America Instant Ink Business Management area, including:
Business Intelligence, Planning, and execution
- Business Insights, Forecasting

You will be central support to creating, executing, and measuring the action plan to drive the expected in-market performance and achieve our business and financial commitments. You need to be analytical to be able to dive into our business intelligence and an exceptional strategic thinker to find, package and communicate key business insights.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Instant Ink North America Business Manager, you will be working with both the NA market team (Sales and Category) as well as the central Instant Ink organization. This means working with a cross-functional team across business insights and analysts, product marketing and finance, to monitor the performance of the HP Instant Ink subscription service in the marketplace, understand the drivers behind adoption and develop a strategy and comprehensive plan to accelerate growth, including:
- Managing complex data and business analyses to develop business plans and make recommendations.
- Working independently to construct complex statistical and financial models to forecast business performance.
- Participate to the BMS (Business Management System) Processes for Instant Ink.
- Participate to the definition of the metrics required to measure business performance, compares actual data to forecasted values, and develops the process for identifying and addressing performance gaps.
- Working with cross-functional teams across to maximize financial performance
- Participating to the development of business plans based on historical and forecasted data and reports.
- Identifying cutting-edge analytical tools, models, and methods for making key business decision
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Marketing, Business, or Technical fields.
- More than 5 years of experience in Category / Business Management roles
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Demonstrated knowledge of research methodology and the ability to manage complex data requests.
- Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
- Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to business analysis.
- Extensive knowledge of Excel, Access, statistical analysis, and financial modelling.
- Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
- Very strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Developed relationship management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Ability to identify and summarize relevant trends from market and industry data.
