About this Role

We are looking for a team player with strong transportation knowledge to join our Customer Support (CS) Global Logistics Center of Excellence team.  In this newly formed role, you’ll have a variety of responsibilities, all of which pertain to managing our top transportation providers across all modes.  Our leading candidate will need to collaborate, influence, and strategize with leaders both internally and externally.  You will be tasked with managing executive engagement, spend, metrics, drive innovation, strategic reviews, and other aspects of these global providers.  This role will take a highly motivated individual that has strong logistics acumen, has experience in persuading executives to buy-in to your ideas, and thinks strategically.  We need someone that’s willing to work hard, is competitive, works well in an ambiguous, yet dynamic business landscape, and has fun while doing it!

 

Job Description:

  • Business Acumen:  Strong global logistics experience with these partners / modes. Ability to design & drive future activities that bring new/disruptive capabilities to HP & CS
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, to prioritize, and adapt to a changing environment
  • Develop logistics strategies to support our network; operating model and management structure, develop capabilities vs. cost vs. resilience prioritization, & develop scaling action plans
  • Manage partners, establishing process standards, KPI’s (metrics), contract language, financials, global tools, quarterly business reviews, & act as highest level of escalation to resolve critical problems
  • Align with our global procurement organization; regional and global rate negotiations, long term budget planning, and key market changes pertaining to your partners
  • Peripheral understanding of SAP and carrier WMS and transportation ship systems
  • Manage and PM complex initiatives globally

 

Candidate:

  • 5+ years of transportation experience in robust, demanding work environments
  • Ability to work across complex teams & time zones
  • Experience with Management of Change processes
  • Superior influencing and negotiating skills
  • Strong use of Microsoft Office tools for analytics, presentations, and project management
  • Experience managing global logistics partners
  • Experience leading global programs and/or projects
  • Willing to travel globally (as needed)
  • Fluent English (written and verbal)
