In this position you will be part of the Personal Systems (PS) Category Center of Expertise (CoE) Consumer Product Management team, and you will work at Worldwide level (excluding NART) and with the Consumer PS GBU to define the best chrome product portfolio and future roadmap to support your market needs. You will also ensure we get the best costing for the desktop category and that this communicated to markets.
Responsibilities
- Work together with Global Business Unit to define Chrome Portfolio strategy
- Product Roadmap
- Market trend analysis and understanding consumer needs at market and key country level
- Owns product features definition
- Ensure Time to Market in technology / architecture transition
- Identify product roadmaps gaps and engage with GBU to deliver roadmap requirements
- Competitor analysis and articulate HP's response
- Provide early market feedback to GBU along the different development phases
- Identify Total Addressable Market (TAM)
- POR volume at market level
- Cost target definition for Chrome but also for the whole desktop category
- Define future product positioning
- Product Ambassador
- Support product pitch, demos and training to markets / partners
- Identify unique selling points and key messaging
- Validate Marketing technical specs and contents, datasheet and sell-in deck
Knowledge and Skills
- Global PC market knowledge
- Demonstrated track record for excellent English. Spanish is a plus.
- Solid technical knowledge and ability to understand detailed product level complexities
- Able to see the big picture and have a firm grasp on the details.
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Good business acumen, able to bring the story behind the numbers.
- Strong Communication skills. Should be able to develop, design and deliver, both visually and verbally strong product story.
- Ability to work both in a structured and dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work with team members in same team, and across multiple different teams, with diverse opinions and objectives. Able to drive people to a common business objective.
- Demonstrated drive and enthusiasm, track record for getting things done
Education and Experience Required
- University degree in Marketing/Business/Technical.
- 5 years’ experience in product marketing fundamentals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of general marketing function either through education or work experience.
