Controls Systems Engineering is responsible with providing solutions that enable automation and systems capability across thermal inkjet pen and supply proto and manufacturing lines and associated test systems globally.  Our team also values, and occasionally deploys, embedded systems and firmware development skills as we seek to leverage our integration and technical skill to adjacent business value added endeavours. As a member of our team, you will partner with other engineering disciplines to investigate, plan, develop, integrate, test, deploy milestone commitments. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Design and support systems based on a wide variety of software technologies including:  programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human machine interfaces, motion control, robotics, vision systems, windows applications.
  • Collaborate with global manufacturing partners to leverage proto environment solutions for production ready implementation.

Education Required:

 

  • Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Typically 2-4 years’ experience.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Good fundamental programming skills & practices, including: development, debug, start-up, revision control & state control programming structure
  • Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 Ladder programming language
  • PC/Win32/.Net based software solutions development experience
