Context

As a VP of Engineering at GitGuardian, you will report directly to the cofounder and CEO and your principal mission will be to guarantee the good technical execution of the product vision, while helping the GitGuardian engineering team to scale.

You will also be a member of our Direction Committee (CoDir).

Missions

  • Manage Engineering Managers & Tech Leads and drive the entire Engineering organisation (40 persons today, 70 at the end of the year),
  • Ensure that the roadmap is properly implemented, while respecting our acceptance criterias
  • Bring structure and good processes in place to support our ambitions
  • Accompany the tech managers in their daily work to help them increase their skills and autonomy in their area of responsibility
  • In collaboration with HR, build the human growth strategy of the tech organization, involving managers in the definition of recruitment processes for their teams. The engineering team is doubling in 2023.
  • Contribute to our knowledge sharing culture (trainings, technical documentation)
  • Choose the right tools in order to maximise our velocity
  • Maintain and optimize budgets to meet our goals
  • Participate to the CODIR meetings and discuss about company strategy
  • Challenge the CEO in the construction of the company's technical strategy

  • You have a degree in engineering
  • You are familiar with our technical stack
  • You have problem solving abilities with a synthetic and analytical mindset
  • You have strong organizational and leadership skills, able to lead growing teams while maintaining a structured environment
  • You have a significant experience as a VP of Engineering in a scale-up environment for a B2B SaaS product or Head of Engineering in a bigger company
  • You have a deep understanding of the startups dynamics and challenges
  • You are familiar with SAAS products and agile release cycle
  • You have experienced strong engineering core team growth

  • You have built SAAS products for large enterprises
  • You are familiar with “modern on premise deployment”
  • You enjoy building tools for developers
