Our Reliability Engineering team collaborates across our organization to ensure the performance of our global content-delivery platform. We ensure our platform operates safely, and reliably and adapts based on customer demand.

Collaborate with others to build amazing solutions for customers

As a Senior Reliability Engineer, you'll apply technical skills to diagnose and solve content delivery challenges. You will be working cross-functionally to devise/implement changes that optimize the performance of our global services. You'll define, implement, and mine data feeds that influence company decision-making at the highest levels.

As a Reliability Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Providing support to the highly available systems running across thousands of data centers & major geographies
  
• Recommending viable technical solutions that would improve the effectiveness of the team and reduce technical debt
  
  
• Solving problems and making use of automation/feedback to avoid recurrence.
  
• Developing tools/prototypes to proactively monitor service performance and availability
• Working closely with product engineers to advocate reliable and scalable system design for supportability, resiliency and reliability
  
• Performing on-call duty as part of a Follow-the-Sun model

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5-8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Possess solid experience with Internet protocols (DNS/HTTP/TLS/TCP etc.).
• Show experience with coding & scripting/ procedural languages (python, perl, shell, C/C++, Java, etc.)
• Experience with network traffic analysis, distributed system debugging, dealing with scalability issues on large-scale distributed system
• Have an understanding of web development with general HTML, javascript, CSS, XML, JSON, etc
• Show fluency working in a UNIX/Linux computing environment. Also, demonstrate experience with statistics and data analysis.
