The team works on our single page app used by developers around the world. This interface is used to manage hundreds of thousands of Linodes running on our global datacenter network. The application is on cloud.linode.com and is an Open Source project hosted on Github at https://github.com/linode/manager

As a Lead UI Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the development of the display layer and maintaining the component library of our application.
• Ensuring that Akamai's front-end applications are performant, accessible, and responsive.
• Working with UX designers to implement engaging user experiences for thousands of users.
• Mentoring junior developers and work closely with internal partner teams

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• Possess good, low-level expertise of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Have prior working experience building large-scale applications with React
• Possess expertise in state management libraries such as Redux
• Be skilled with CSS and modern user interface frameworks, specifically Material UI.
• Have experience implementing web accessibility standards like A11y.
