Job Description:

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Denver, CO (multiple openings): Security Consultant. Develop and implement creative solutions to help Akamai customers fully leverage Akamai’s network security products and achieve the desired outcome. Act as a client security contact to ensure the successful integration and ongoing support of Akamai customers on Akamai’s network platform. Collaborate with other security experts, engineers, and internet technologists to support Akamai customers across various verticals globally. Design and implement web, network, and security solutions to make the internet function faster, more intelligently, and secure. Utilize the latest security expertise and deploy industry-leading solutions to protect Akamai customers’ applications, data, and infrastructure. Ensure customer success by understanding requirements, leveraging best practices, and offering consulting services that meet customer needs. Coordinate with integrated account team to evaluate customer web architecture, develop long-term security strategies, and deliver the optimal cloud security solutions. Work with other security consultants to solve technical problems. Participate in ongoing training and internal projects to contribute to best practices, maximize efficiency, and improve methodology and quality of services. Telecommuting available. [AG0044]

Required Qualification:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or Information Systems and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or closely related role.

Must Have: Any amount of experience with the following:

•              Internet technologies such as DNS, HTTP, or SSL.

•              Internet protocols such as TCP/IP or ICMP.

•              Security technologies such as VPN, Web application firewall, or next generation firewall.

•              Security event management, real time traffic analysis, or security compliance.

•              Network routing and troubleshooting, network design, or web development.
