Job Description:

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Security Architect. Perform security architecture/information security analysis duties in furtherance of system security risks and solutions; design and contribute to implementation of network security projects, configuring security and DDoS related solutions to secure the business and users; work in in diverse IT environments (virtual/physical/container, on-prem/public/hybrid, Windows/Linux/Unix); work throughout a delivery project life cycle from architecture design to installation, configuration and documentation; deploy and implement network security policies using our state of the art platforms; work closely with Support and Engineering teams to quickly resolve issues and drive customer satisfaction; apply principles and theoretical knowledge of Networking, Operating Systems, and Datacenter Infrastructure; demonstrate skills in network or endpoint security platforms, scripting, cloud administration, and configuration management. Required Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Telecommunications, plus 24 months of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related information security analysis role.

Must have: At least 24 months of experience in the following skills: ISO9001, ISO27001; Configuration and Deployment of Next Generation Firewalls; Configuration and Deployment of network infrastructure equipment like routers, switches, access points, wireless controllers, VoIP servers; Network analysis; Multiple client and server operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
