Our team is part of the Security organization, responsible for developing products and platforms focused on security. Our Bot Manager product is designed to provide world-class cloud computing security, prevent data theft and mitigate large account takeover attempts. We build unique technology to handle petabytes of data and conduct billions of secure transactions daily.

Shape the future of our security products

In this highly visible Principal role, you will lead a team of talented engineers tasked with building best-in-class bot threat detection, protection and control features, allowing our customers to better manage bot traffic and help improve the internet for millions of people.

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Providing technical leadership across engineering teams to develop, innovate and continually improve product design
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams such as Product Management, Architects Threat Research and Operations to create new features
• Guiding and performing activities such as design and code reviews, identifying improvements to software quality, performance and integration tests
• Working. with a team of engineers implementing complex designs and partnering with other teams to identify system dependencies

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent
• Have demonstrated experience managing priorities of technical teams
• Be able to design systems, identify security risks, translate RFC requirements and ensure compliance
• Be knowledgeable of Internet technologies and fundamental protocols such as DNS, HTTP and TLS
• Have experience with web application development, design patterns and frameworks such as REST and Spring
• Be a team player with exceptional communication, collaboration and have experience working with executive level stakeholders
