Quantum cryptography can significantly enhance the security of communications, offering a method to detect and deter certain cyber threats effectively. However, comprehensive cybersecurity strategies must also address threats beyond the scope of quantum cryptography, including physical security, human error, and software vulnerabilities. Its role, therefore, is as a complement to, rather than a replacement for, existing security measures, forming part of a layered defense strategy.
