Although mentorship is a valuable tool in encouraging women’s participation in tech, it is not a panacea. The effectiveness of mentorship programs in closing the gender gap critically depends on broader systemic changes in the tech industry, including policies, hiring practices, and workplace environments. Without addressing these foundational issues, mentorship alone may not achieve its full potential in fostering gender diversity.
