I was hardworking, sincere, and passionate, but when it came to speaking up or expressing my opinions, I would often feel overwhelmed with doubt—questioning if I was even right or worrying about what others might think of me. At the time, I also saw self-promotion as something desperate or boastful. It wasn’t until later in my career that I truly learned the importance of both confidence and self-promotion, realizing they are essential for growth and leadership.
