Here’s what you will do:

  • Develop, support, and maintain software systems for gas pipeline “real time” Measurement, SCADA, and Control Systems functions of command, control, and data acquisition.
  • Responsible for programming, configuring, testing, and debugging of custom developed or off-the-shelf packaged software systems.
  • Coordinate and handle all phases of the applications and software engineering life cycle which include systems analysis, requirement gathering, designing, implementing, maintaining, and documenting.
  • Evaluate technologies required for real time applications, lead projects and address strategies to ensure alignment to reliable operations, cyber security, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with business users to determine and fully understand their functional and data requirements for new or existing applications and translate to technical specifications.
  • Analyze software performance, establish acceptable performance levels, conduct issue reviews, and determine strategies to prevent problem re-occurrences.
  • Lead and review work of other developers and quality assurance analysts. Identify and drive process improvement opportunities and implement solutions using current and new technologies.
  • Partner with external vendors to implement security, data, and other changes as needed.

Who you are:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Must have seven (7) years of experience as an OT Application Developer, Technology Lead, Technology Analyst, or closely related position. 
  • The Seven (7) years of experience must have included experience implementing solutions using Microsoft .NET technology stack, web, or Windows desktop applications; working with large numbers of devices of wide area communication networks and Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM) data handling and processing; and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)/Real-Time/Control Systems, communication protocols such as Modbus, and IP protocols such as TCP (Transmission Control Protocol), UDP (User Datagram Protocol), and OPC-DA (Data Access) protocols.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
