Session: Ethical AI in Cybersecurity: Balancing Innovation with Risk Mitigation
As artificial intelligence continues to drive innovation across industries, it also introduces new risks, particularly in cybersecurity, data protection, and ethical governance. While AI can bolster security efforts, it can simultaneously expose organizations to critical vulnerabilities, such as biased algorithms, data privacy concerns, and unintentional ethical breaches.
In this session, we’ll explore how organizations can strike a balance between innovation and risk management by embracing regulatory frameworks like the EU AI Act and adopting essential principles such as Security by Design, Privacy by Design, and Ethics by Design. These approaches ensure that AI systems are developed with security, privacy, and ethical considerations integrated from the outset, rather than as afterthoughts.
By embedding these foundational elements into AI strategies, we can foster responsible, transparent, and fair AI development—mitigating risks while driving sustainable innovation. This session will provide practical insights into how organizations can implement these principles and comply with evolving regulations, ensuring that AI technologies are both cutting-edge and accountable.
