Session: BNB Chain Workshop
BNB Chain has become one of the most popular blockchains in the world. It is a community-first and open-source EVM-compatible ecosystem built on a permissionless and decentralized environment providing you with a lot of opportunities to learn, experiment, and build your own decentralized applications (dApps).
In the past two decades, Web2 has drastically increased the internet user base and functions of the web by providing interactive experiences and user-generated content. Over the past few years, we have witnessed a new paradigm called Web3, which is decentralized, open, permissionless, and trustless. Building your own dApps on BNB Chain, empowers users and gives them full control over their data, in a trustless fashion.
The workshop will consist of a deep dive into the BNB Chain Ecosystem. We will start with a brief introduction to blockchain technology, a general overview of smart contracts and Solidity programming language. We will cover everything you need to know about BNB Chain, including decentralized finance, dApps, NFTs, development tools, and a lot more to set you up for a successful blockchain builder journey.
The technical takeaways of this workshop will be:
• Process of building dApps - the difference between Web3 and traditional software development
• What are smart contracts and how to deploy them on BNB Chain
• How to get started coding in Solidity
• The most popular development tools (IDEs, faucets, wallets, platforms) to start building your dApps
• How to use testnet and blockchain explorer to ease your development
