Session: Building a Better Industry: The Business Case for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Tech
Long before the pandemic fast tracked the world’s adoption of technology beyond our imaginations, true diversity and representation in the tech sector was difficult to achieve. As the world has become a global community through technology, the tides are turning. Businesses realize that not only are diversity, equity, inclusion and allyship ethically important decisions, they make the most sound business practices.
With the rapid adoption of cloud technologies, enterprises rely on data to scale their products and services. Customer data should reflect the habits and practices of employees and their target customers. With a broader representation in the workplace that more accurately reflects all stakeholders, enterprise leaders know that employing people from all communities will help strengthen their value proposition.
