Bio
Ciera manages the Data Engineering Team at Ocrolus as the Data Engineering Tech Lead. She works closely with engineers based both in the US and India, serving as Product Owner for the Kafka based Data Platform. Her focus is on providing a platform for real-time streaming data to help make Ocrolus more data driven! Before joining Ocrolus as the first Data Engineering hire, Ciera spent 2 years as a management consultant with Element22 working on Data Governance problems with investment banks, retail banks, and other asset managers. Ciera started her career with a FinTech start up called Enso Financial (acquired by ICAP in 2016) where she spent nearly 4 years doing data analysis for Hedge Funds, serving in several different roles across their Client Services, Product, and Engineering teams as a python developer. Outside of work Ciera stays very busy taking care of her pets, with 2 cats named Rory and Ronnie, along with and a dog named Rocky.
