Session: Supply Chain disruptions and Business Resilience in view of Covid-19
"Where FinTech meets Supply Chain" - this, in short, is the best summary of this session. Technology and innovative solutions can help companies manage risk and allow to survive through the crisis.
Covid-19 exposed a lot of weaknesses in supply chains across the globe for all type of companies, from multinational corporations to small enterprises.
Global supply chains are being tested like never before, with many small suppliers facing financial distress as a combination of workforce sickness and government restrictions preventing them from operating at a normal pace, capacity and efficiency. The crisis is so pervasive that many SMEs cannot survive by themselves until things return to normal, even with financial relief programs offered by local governments.
My experience in Supplier Risk and Business Resilience as well as in managing Supply Chain Financing program confirms the importance of technology in early identification of risk, mapping supply chains and exposing the weakest links, leading to proactive risk mitigation.
In this session, I'll address questions like:
- What key effects are we seeing on supply chains from COVID-19?
- How can multinationals manage exposures before and during the crisis?
- What role do FinTech solutions and supplier financing play?
- What will supply chains look like after the crisis: the importance of digitization in Supply Chain risk programs.
Join this interactive and insightful session!
