Japnit Ahuja Bio
I am Japnit, a machine learning enthusiast, educator, and ambitious change-maker. At 16, I founded Go Girl, a non-profit empowering underprivileged students by teaching them technical skills. We've introduced over 2000 girls to programming through workshops in India. Collaborating with nonprofits and schools, we offer free coding workshops in regional languages, reaching urban slums and remote tribal regions. Our mobile-friendly curriculum ensures access for students without computers.
With 80 volunteers, we've hosted 250+ free workshops. Our online presence and 20k followers allow us to reach 500k people through social media campaigns. I've given TEDx Talks at Shiv Nadar University, India, and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore, sharing my work.
Coding has always fascinated me. At 16, I received a fully-funded scholarship from the Singapore Government, where I completed high school. I discovered machine learning research, published a paper, and received national-level academic honors. Later, I earned a fully funded computer science degree at Ontario Tech University, Canada. In 2022, I was honored with women in technology scholarships from Adobe, Cadence, and Zonta.
My current and future path combines my passions: technology and women's empowerment. I strive to excel in my field and inspire the next generation of female programmers.
