Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining Akamai's cloud storage platform. Our enterprise grade solution is an essential element to Akamai's Connected Cloud platform. As a SDET in our team, you will be responsible for Quality assurance of our Storage product and for developing component level test automation, as well as executing automated and manual tests. You will ensure that our state-of-the-art distributed storage platform is stable, resilient, and scalable.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Participating in functional and product design reviews, and incorporating feedback into test plans and test cases
• Developing and implementing automated tests for functionality, load, and performance
• Creating and execute tests on new features and capabilities
• Collaborating with a cross functional team of developers, Systems QA, release engineers, architects and program managers
• Improving our testing and automation infrastructures, define test plans and effective automation

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• Have experience working in Unix/Linux and developing Automation framework using python (bonus points for experience in SQL/Couchdb)
• Have experience with storage technologies and/or Cloud computing and networking concepts such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP
• Be highly responsible, self-managed, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent communication skills
• Have passion to understand, learn, and dissect new technologies quickly and excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills
