Session: The Woman's Workforce: Integrating Flexible Practices for a More Equitable Workplace
Addressing workplace flexibility will be one of the biggest issues facing every company in 2023. From hourly roles to corporate settings, flexibility is mission critical for job applicants and employees - women, especially - who often have to juggle their careers with their position as caretakers for children, elderly family members, or others. And this showed no signs of slowing during the pandemic. How can employers address this while attracting and retaining more women in the workplace? Many women are turning to hourly jobs and gig work, which often provides an added layer of flexibility and income. Rachel will discuss how corporate leadership teams can rethink recruitment approaches to attract more women to the workplace, focusing on updated expectations that accommodate for the many roles women play inside and out of the household while making room for the flexibility that comes with the rise in women taking on independent freelance work and/or multiple jobs.
