Session: Cycle Positivity: The Long Overdue Conversation on Women's Cycles at Work
This presentation will talk about my own corporate journey through cycle awareness as a tech leader and engineering manager at General Motors then moving to Amazon in late 2021. This will specifically talk about how I championed and brought a brand new program to Amazon covering women's cycles in the workplace - menstruation, childbirth and especially menopause and how others can think about these topics and incorporate them into the dialog in their own workplaces. Despite ongoing research and media conversation about the impact of women’s cycles such as menopause on mental health, workplace well-being policy in the U.S. is still largely failing to provide appropriate support.
