Session: Introduction to Controls Engineering
This session will be aimed at introducing Controls Engineering to those who do not know the specifics of this career track. I aim to talk about what a typical day looks like for a Controls Engineer, the way this track can be pursued and the most important skills in this field.
I have encountered very less women doing what I do and I aim to talk about the work I do to spread awareness and encourage more women to pursue Controls Engineering.
Bio
After graduating from UT Arlington with a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, I have been working as a Controls Engineer since 2016. Having served on multiple projects, my experience ranges from packaging industry projects to dairy processing plant projects to finally now, datacenters!
I am passionate about helping women in tech, and have ample experience speaking about my career and work at various career panels and conferences. I hope to spread awareness about my field so as to encourage more women to be aware of the different opportunities they can explore!
