Senior Software Engineer II (Python) - Remote/Bay Area

Our team is part of the Security organization, responsible for developing products and platforms focused on security. Our Bot Manager product is designed to provide top-tier cloud computing security, prevent data and mitigate large account takeover attempts. We build unique technology to handle petabytes of data and conduct billions of secure transactions daily.

Shape the future of our security products

In this role, you will work on the software stack used for detecting API abuse. We use a Python backend built with Flask and Redis, integrated with data analytics systems. You will also work with the cloud infrastructure team to improve the backend systems architecture. Lastly, you will partner with data scientists and use data analysis to solve customer problems.

As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Handling various cloud architecture changes and leading seamless migration of architecture
• Implementing new features taking them from conception and design through testing and deployment
• Designing and developing new features to scale the detection engine architecture to handle more traffic.
• Performing various data analysis tasks such as selecting data sets, statistical analysis and data visualization for web and mobile platforms
• Optimizing the data pipeline for backend detections based on data analysis and processing needs.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8 years of experience and a Masters Degree in computer science degree or its equivalent
• Have experience architecting and building systems in a cloud environment.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS or Azure or GCP) and data base systems (Redis)
• Possess an understanding of Python, data analysis tools, REST API and large scale systems architecture.
• Demonstrate proven ability to develop high quality software under tight schedules with best possible architectures and write clean and well-structured code.
• Be able to work cross-functionally and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
