The Senior Marketing Systems Administrator will be responsible for our marketing automation platform, Marketo, and support the administration of other tools in our mar-tech stack. You will be a subject matter expert on our Marketo instance and support best practice use and optimization of the platform.

This role will work closely with our other marketing systems administrators, Salesforce administrators, growth operations team, marketing team, website developers, integrations engineers, and other internal business partners to drive scalable solutions. 

Candidates must be proficient in key business processes such as lead and contact lifecycles, lead scoring, email nurtures, lead/contact routing, database hygiene, field management, and how our systems are designed to enable these processes. 

What you'll do
  • Ensure our Marketo instance is best-in-class to support global business requirements
  • Seek opportunities to operationalize and streamline processes and technology within the marketing technology stack
  • Help gather requirements for marketing systems projects
  • Work with legal, security, and finance to ensure requirements gathered are in compliance with laws and internal policies
  • Act as a point of contact for marketing systems vendors to ensure accurate and timely technical support solutions
  • Update Marketo and integrated systems for lead routing, lead qualification, lead scoring, record deduplication, customer segmentation, and data integrity per provided business requirements
  • Solve system integration issues and drive new systems integration projects
  • Support and troubleshoot errors with the Marketo/Salesforce integration
  • Evangelize Marketo best practices, including documentation, guidance, training, and enablement across varied functional teams
  • Create and configure fields and determine field mapping to Salesforce to ensure the right fields are synced to support campaigns and reporting
  • Create and update Marketo email and program templates
  • Ensure that marketing efforts are in compliance with email marketing regulations
This role requires
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience
  • 3-5 years owning marketing campaign execution and handling marketing technologies including CRM, marketing automation, data enrichment, lead routing, and database integrations
  • 3-5 years Marketo administration experience
  • Current or past MCE certification credentials
  • Demonstrated experience integrating marketing applications with other enterprise applications, as well as internal and external data sources
  • Familiarity with Marketo/Salesforce integration 
  • Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Solutions oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and shifts in project requirements
  • Strong collaboration skills in a diverse and inclusive team environment
  • Familiarity with current email deliverability best practices and troubleshooting deliverability issues
  • Proficiency with HTML and CSS to support Marketo emails
  • Familiarity with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL, and CSA regulations
