Job Description Summary

Responsible for IT Change operations - ITIL best practice standards-based change processes across global teams. As change manager you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing all change requests for our digital estate and perform impact and risk assessments to ensure minimal disruption to the business. This role will require extreme ownership and a deep understanding of GE Healthcare’s complex digital technology real estate and its interlocks with GE managed core digital infrastructure. In addition, you will also define & execute for process and technology integration with other related ITSM area such as Configuration, Incident and Problem management. You will Coordinate and communicate all Change Management and Risk Management activities, Initiate and coordinate outsourced supplier efforts.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the Change Advisory Board meetings and act as a Gatekeeper for all HC Impacted and HC Owned Change requests.

  • Own Change management process for HC - Review of changes GXP & Non GXP  -Perform adequate assessments and ensure there are no impairments caused by change – effectively assess the change risks and consequences of requested changes (Healthcare changes & CoreTech changes)

  • Review all change controls for effective impact and risk assessments and ensure minimal impact to business due to change. Also Provides direction to the Corp. DT Infra. Operations (as part of spin) and Product  Support Teams in resolving scheduling conflicts

  • Review and approve Standard change templates following the guidelines standard changes and also periodically audit Standard change controls to ensure they adhere to template conditions

  • Support / coach & guide application support teams on overall change management process so that they adhere to requirements of change process.

  • Contribute and review the Monthly & Weekly reports (Wed & Friday). Analyze, identify the areas for improvements and simplify the report for stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with business, application, infrastructure, and operations teams on change management decisions, demonstrating a sound understanding of inter-relationships in the technology stack and impact of changes

  • Leverage the tool Tableau & Numerify and take the ownership, new initiatives, pulling the reports required for Change Management Metrics

  • Work with the Service Now team closely – incorporate tools/ process improvements

  • Support to Operations Leadership and Organizational Leadership.

  • Effective and Advance change communication to the stakeholders on the upcoming critical changes.

  • Engage, leverage, and drive simplified processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality content.

Education Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience 5+ years

Desired Characteristics and Technical Expertise:

  • Broad knowledge of IT disciplines including compute, network and storage platforms

  • Knowledge of industry best practices in data center management

  • Strong technical foundation in infrastructure technologies


Business Acumen:

  • Strong Project management skills

  • EHS and crisis management experience or awareness

  • Experience in process management and improvement in a technical environment

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences
