Our core product, The Bloomberg Terminal, is used by 325,000 financial professionals around the world. It's continuously being developed and improved by about 6,000 engineers that are experts in their field. Our team is part of a group of engineers who create the software toolbox for application teams at Bloomberg.
The NRSE team, part of Technology Infrastructure, is responsible for providing robust platforms, tools and data pipelines for our Network Engineering and Operation teams.
As we evolve the technology behind the Bloomberg Financial Network we face the issue of how to automate the network testing following CI/CD principles. We're looking for an engineer with a passion for creating the tools to make engineering life easier and improving the workflow of their peers and themselves.

We’ll trust you to:

Develop the fundamental tools to automate the Network Testing

Work with TypeScript, Python, RobotFramework, Docker and more

Work with Chromium/Webkit via the Chrome Devtools Protocol

Be on the cutting edge of shaping the network testing experience
You’ll need to have:

Experience working with an object-oriented programming language (C/C++, Python, Java, etc.)

A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experience

Demonstrated experience working with an object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, etc.)

JavaScript/TypeScript development experience at scale (preferably Node.js)

Experience with modern web development framework and architectures in React, RESTful web services and API integration

An understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms

Prior contributions to system design and architecture and scaling fault-tolerant, distributed systems

Experience with Test Driven Development
