Session: Building trust among diverse leaders and groups
Bringing together diverse groups to form leadership teams can come at a high cost. Driving trust upfront requires intention, focus, and an appetite for failure. In this talk we will discuss a few examples, pitfalls and strategies for putting together high performing leadership/management/senior cross functional groups while addressing trust deficit challenges upfront.Key Takeaways

Bio
Suba has spent well over two decades leading small and large teams in strategy, operations, analytics, customer support and trust & safety. She has incubated and grown key organizations globally within Meta (Facebook) and prior to that, advised clients from different industries such as technology, education and government, at KPMG’s Advisory Services practice. Earlier in her career, she spent 5 years as a journalist.Suba is currently a VP within Meta's Global Operations org leading analytics, tooling, operational & strategy functions. In her prior role leading Facebook's Business Integrity & Platform Operations org she was accountable for building trust between users and businesses on the platform. She is the Executive Sponsor for several Women's business resource groups at Facebook and launched a comprehensive mentoring platform for the group in 2021. Suba is also an active Board Member of Mainspring Schools, a local non-profit in Austin for children from underprivileged families & lead the strategic planning committee through the release of a 3-year strategic plan as the chair of the committee.
She has a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Texas A&M, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from Mumbai University. She also worked as a journalist in India on topics covering the intersection of technology and business.
Suba speaks at various internal and external forums on a wide range of informational topics such as “artificial intelligence in finance” to inspirational topics such as “vulnerability in the workplace” or coaching women on how to write self-reviews for performance management. Suba also actively participates in various panels with other influential leaders. (An example is her speaking engagement with the National Diversity Conference 2021.)
