Session: Harnessing digital privacy and security to empower a diverse workforce in tech and build an inclusive workplace culture
Diversity not only fosters better employee engagement, it also allows for better innovation and problem-solving abilities when approaching new business challenges.
Fostering successful DEI initiatives is even more important when we consider digital privacy and security in tech. In this session, Shirona will discuss the growing demand for digital privacy in the modern world, and how women, LGBTQIA+ and POC are disproportionately impacted by companies who take advantage of our digital footprint. As such, she will explore why building diversity also means protecting data privacy, and how empowering a diverse workforce can help companies deliver better and stronger products for consumers–in turn providing them with the knowledge and freedom to decide what data they share and with whom they share it.
Having amassed 10 years of experience as a woman in tech, Shirona will also share her learnings behind building DEI programs from scratch for globally dispersed teams. She will go through meaningful tools to deconstruct and empower gender equality in the workplace from an intersectional lens, all through the vision to enable a strong community of women and allies around the world in building inclusive workplace cultures and identities.
