Session: Love, Lead and Be Yourself
When we hear people talk about love, how often do we think about our primary relationship, the one with ourselves and self compassionate about ourselves. Let us pause for a moment to reflect on : What does this even mean? When was the last time you looked into your inner self and said "I Love you"? Do you ever stop and think "Have you loved yourself enough?"
Sadly, for many of us, our default mode is being self - critical about ourselves, running below the surface of our own actions and interactions continuing to state— I could have done better, Am I there, I do not think I am ready. Research indicates that 50 percent of us aren’t self-compassionate; in fact, we’re very hard on ourselves.
People who are self-compassionate and make themselves as a priority tend to empower themself. . There is a famous quote:”“Self love breeds self confidence, self worth, self respect, self forgiveness. Do not underestimate its power”.
According to pioneering self-compassion researcher, Kristin Neff, although every one has different experiences but it has been proven that women have harder time than men when it comes to being self-compassionate.
It is hard but not impossible. We need to break that, Women need to harness this self -compassion , speak up and own their story without self-doubting themselves
“Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the bravest things we will ever do” – Brene’ Brown
