Authenticity is everything here! It's totally normal to feel as though you need to present yourself in a certain way, speak using particular words etc but the reality is, successful public speakers are relatable.

It's totally okay not to know every detail of your chosen topic. Public speaking is about your unique perspective, experiences and even blind spots, failures and hard lessons!

It's easy to say 'just be yourself' but really, this is what will create connection with your audience. Obviously it's important to have an interesting angle and be well versed in your topic, but even if something catches you off-guard in the Q&A you can be honest if it's not a question you can answer!
