Women face challenges from the very beginning of their journey into game development, starting with education and training. Gender imbalances in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and a lack of encouragement for girls to pursue these fields contribute to fewer women entering game development programs and, subsequently, the workforce.
