Are you excited to be among the speakers at the WomenTech Global Conference 2021 and what motivated you to join our community of 100 000 women in tech, minorities, and allies?
I am excited to have the opportunity to speak at the Women Tech Global Conference 2021 and share my thoughts on ‘Revamping leadership for self-organized teams’. Being associated with WomenTech community for over an year, I love the authenticity and the opportunity the platform provides for women across the world to network learn and grow through various initiatives and events.
Share with us about your background, your journey in tech, and what inspired you to develop your career in this direction?
I started my career as a software developer in India and as years passed by, I was in a regular progressive career path of an engineer. Back in 2014 one of the projects which I was working for decided to adopt Agile and I was asked to take up the role of Scrum Master for one of the teams. I was amazed by the value the team created within a month and how it embarks the creativity and autonomy in teams. That was a ‘WoW’ moment for me, and I started to explore more on the topic.
When I started to learn more I understood that ‘Agile’ is not just a ‘buzzword' but it can bring lots of value to people and organizations. What fascinated me is that it could even be adopted in our personal life. Initially it needed a shift of mindset with plenty of learning as well as unlearning. Currently I am an Agile Coach working for an international mobility provider in Germany. Being a coach I help teams and organisations to reshape their workplaces by adopting collaboration-based work environments. In my day to day work I try to spread the right Agile Mindset as well as coach individuals to become better versions of themselves.
Who would you advise to attend the Global Conference and why?
I attended the WomenTech Global conference last year and It was truly a great experience with so many insightful sessions on offer which fosters environment of learning, networking and inclusion for all attendees. The best part of the event was having candid discussions with women professionals from across the world!! I am sure this year it is no different. I would highly recommend the conference to anyone who would like to expand their knowledge, build connections and learn from experts.
Reserve your spot at WomenTech Global Conference in June 2021 to enjoy Archana's talk "Revamping leadership for self-organized teams", and learn from other inspiring speakers.
