Session: Confidence and the Gender Gap - What Gives?
Time and again – the question is asked whether organizations offer women the same level of opportunities to their male peers. At the same time, the question often arises that point to women’s apparent lack of confidence that rule them out of the role. There’s a vicious cycle that leads to our lack of confidence as a key explanation for our under-representation in the tech space.
This narrative is an easy one for businesses to use because it allows them to claim that the problem isn’t driven by the organization instead by the employees who aren’t able to step up and speak up. Are we to blame for our own under-representation within the tech space?

Rita Barry is a veteran GTM Partner strategist. Currently she serves as Ensono’s North America Cloud Alliance and Partner Director working directly with AWS and Microsoft and Google Cloud , a role in which she leads business development, strategic partnerships, and partner-enabled sales. Rita has been with Ensono for overseven years working on both the cloud and marketing teams where Rita also leads the North America programming for Ensono’s women’s initiative, Ensono Women Connected.
