Session: Leveraging Sponsors & Empowerment Strategies for Career Advancement
This workshop will share research perspectives on interdisciplinary career support including: the impact of mentorship and sponsorship as well as the construct of empowerment in relation to career advancement of women.
The workshop will include reflective discussions among participants on empowerment and development of strong sponsor relationships as well as proposed solutions for identified challenges which typically impact women in tech.
Bio
Dr. Diana B. Allen is a sought-after speaker on the topics of leadership & tech. She holds over 15 years of diversified leadership experience in the cyber risk management industry. She has hands-on experience creating and facilitating programs focused on enhancing professional skills and personal leadership development.
Diana holds an earned doctorate in Organizational Leadership as well as an MBA in Management, Bachelors in Information systems and multiple industry certifications.
Diana currently serves on the Board of Directors for Black Girls in Cyber as the Director of Board Development & Strategic Programs as well as a Volunteer for Certification Content Development for (ISC)2. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, fitness and spending time with her husband and two young daughters.
