GE Healthcare is looking for Staff Data & Information Architect who will be responsible for building and implementing the data ETL architecture for Finance function data (from data ingestion to consumption).

Architect works with functional users, source system owners, platform teams, data engineers, architects, data stewards, and applications team to deliver the solution and enable the business values through these data products.

Job Description

In this role you will:

• Will be focusing on the design and build of business data and define overall data ingestion plan with the execution on the ingestion of data from source system.
• Establish and maintain as a trusted advisor relationship within GE Healthcare Data & Analytics (Finance Function)
• Establish and maintain close working relationships with teams responsible for delivering solutions to the businesses and functions
• Perform key management and thought leadership in the areas of advanced data techniques, including data modelling, data access, data integration, data visualization, data discovery, data quality/governance, and database design
• Work with business partners to define ways to leverage data to develop platforms and solutions to drive business growth
• Engage collaboratively with project teams to support project objectives through the application of sound data architectural principles; support project with knowledge of existing data assets and provide guidance on reusable data structures
• Share knowledge of external and internal data capabilities and trends, provide leadership, and facilitate the process automation
• Data architecture and ETL design of data and dimensions in customer master, location, hierarchy, finance calendar, Currency, and multiple others to have unified master data approach for finance and treasury function.
• Manage the data reconciliation and support audit on the process and products that uses master data. 
• Work with the finance and treasury and dependent function that generates finance datasets to define the data flow, validation and UAT acceptance of the solution.
• Collate technical and functional requirements through workshops with stakeholders in focused domain area
• Translate business requirements to technical solutions leveraging strong business acumen
• Analyze current business practice, processes, and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities for leveraging Data & Analytics solutions on various platforms
• Develop solution proposals that provide details of project scope, approach, deliverables, and project timeline
• Identify risks, assumptions, and develop pricing estimates for the Data & Analytics solutions
• Provide solution oversight to delivery architects and teams
• Work with the contract/vendor resources to deliver the solution and manage the technical resources work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 8+ years of experience
• 5+ years of experience partnering with business managers to develop technical strategies and architectures to support their objectives
• 5+ Year of Data modelling & Data warehousing experience with MPP systems (Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum etc.)
• 5+ years in AWS Services Like Redshift, RDS, S3, Glue, Step Function, Lambda etc.
• 5+ years of delivering analytics in modern data architecture (Massively Parallel Processing Database Platforms and Semantic Modelling)
• Demonstrable knowledge of ETL and ELT patterns and when to use either one; experience selecting among different tools that could be leveraged to accomplish this. (i.e. Informatica, HVR, NiFi, Talend etc)
• Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with different scripting languages (python, shell)
• Demonstrable knowledge of Viz. Tools (i.e. OAS, Power BI, DOMO, Spotfire, Tableau etc)
• Understands data quality and solves for application-level needs
• Understanding of DaaS, Data management tools / solutions
• In depth understanding of Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP, Redshift, S3) and experienced in integrating into traditional hosting/delivery models
• Strong verbal & written communication
• Experience working with solutions delivery teams using Agile/Scrum ore similar methodologies
• Experience with enterprise systems, like CRM, ERP, Supply Chain solutions, HR systems
• Ability to work independently with multiple stakeholders, establishing strategic objectives, project plans, and milestones

Desired skills:

• Proactively learning new technology, predicts trends, and identifies new opportunities based on trends
• Identifies the customer’s business and strategic needs, concerns, and desires for the value delivery capabilities of the Product
• Functional understanding of corporate finance, other finance related processes like Close Book, Treasury, Cash, Controllership, Credit, Account Payables, Account Receivables, Cash Forecasting, Balance sheet exposure, Debt, Forex etc.
• Ability to interact with Business stakeholders and solve business problems spanning across functions
