Congratulations on winning a WomenTech Network Community Award! How did it feel to be recognized for your hard work?
It felt great. I’m excited to always contribute to the growth of the tech ecosystem and getting recognized for it is a good push to make me want to do more. It was also an honor to be recognized alongside so many incredible women who have been in the field longer than I have.
Also, please share with us about your background, journey into technology and what inspired you along the way.
I got my first computer when I was six years old and I’ve wanted a tech career since that moment. This made me very intentional about computer related disciplines and I went on to study computer science in the University. While I was in school, I got my first internship as a software developer and that was how I started making technical and community contributions to the ecosystem.
Lastly, do you have any advice for other women in tech who may like to pursue a career in this field that could help them on their own journey?
There are so many resources and communities that exist today. Make sure you embrace learning, join communities and grow your network.
