Session: Leading and Managing for Impact and Sustainability: An Introduction to the SDG Impact Standards
How can businesses operate more sustainably and contribute positively to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? Simply put, by effectively managing their impacts on people and the planet. Through this session, you will learn how to embed sustainability and impact management at the very core of how your company conducts its business and get introduced to the SDG Impact Standards.
Bio
I use my 18 years of experience in private and social sectors and the creative arts to help individuals, organizations, and companies embed sustainability and impact in how we work, how we live, and how we create.
I currently serve as the Head of Programs and Evaluation for the Larta Institute, advancing technologies and solutions working towards the UN SDGs. Previously, I held several program management and operations expertise roles in the aerospace industry. I am a Moving Worlds Social Impact Global Fellow and accredited as a trainer for the SDG Impact Standards by SDG Impact of UNDP and SVI. I am also a PMI-certified PMP®. I hold a Master's in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of North Texas and currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Policy and Management at the University of Pittsburgh. I am passionate about international development and improving and nurturing lives worldwide while protecting our environment.
