Session: Building High-Performing Developer Teams: Insights on Leadership and Diversity
In today’s AI-driven landscape, building high-performing developer teams is more critical than ever for staying competitive, let alone afloat. Yet, the key to true team success lies beyond technical skills—it requires strong leadership and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). As many DEI programs face cuts amidst broader budget constraints and economic uncertainty, Tara Hernandez, VP of Developer Productivity at MongoDB, will share why these initiatives have been essential for sustaining a productive developer culture at MongoDB.
As a proud member of and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and executive sponsor of MongoDB’s QueLatine ERG, Tara knows we won’t get the best from our workforce if our employees don’t feel safe to be the same person in the conference room that they are in their living room. Drawing from her extensive experience leading engineering teams, Tara will share real-life examples of how fostering a culture of inclusivity not only enhances team dynamics but also drives productivity and creativity. Attendees will walk away with actionable strategies for maintaining an inclusive environment even in challenging political and economic climates.
