Bio
Shelli Brunswick, COO of Space Foundation, brings a broad perspective and deep vision of the global space ecosystem — from a distinguished career as a space acquisition and program management leader and congressional liaison for the U.S. Air Force to her current role overseeing Space Foundation's three primary divisions: Center for Innovation and Education, Symposium 365, and Global Alliance.Advocating for space technology innovation, entrepreneurship, diversity and inclusion, Shelli collaborates with organizations around the world to connect commercial, government and educational sectors. Shelli was named the 2021 Global Technology Leader and the 2020 Diversity & Inclusion Officer and Role Model of the Year Award by WomenTech Network.

Lee Steinke
Lee Steinke, Chief Operating Officer of CisLunar Industries and a strategic advisor for the aerospace, defense, and energy industries. As a scientist and executive, she has led multidisciplinary teams that added over a billion dollars in value through turnaround of failing industrial processes; through contributions to the success of major acquisitions and divestitures; and through operational and technical improvements determined from engineering, science, and data analytics. Lee has chaired an advisory board, is well published on a variety of technical topics, and speaks at global events across industries.
Tuana Yazici
Tuana Yazici is a United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) Space4Women mentee, an International Institute of Space Law (IISL) member, and a student helicopter pilot.
Graduating a year early from the University of Miami, Yazici obtained a B.A. in PPE (Philosophy, Politics, Economics), and later finished a two-year Master of Arts in International Administration with a concentration in International Space Law at the University of Miami also a year early. During her master’s, Yazici worked with the Space Foundation as the Space Law and Political Affairs intern. Following her master’s, Yazici plans to attend law school in the fall of 2022.
Opening her first international art exhibition at the Galeri Artist in Istanbul at the age of 4, Yazici displayed her artwork portraying animal welfare. With her first publication at the age of 7, Yazici wrote and illustrated 4 children’s books on the topics of human rights and animal welfare, which were published. She has donated all profits from her books to various animal charities.
Yazici has two recent publications in the field of space law and policy. Her recent research, “A Proposal for the Usage of Reconnaissance Satellites to Monitor International Human and Wildlife Trafficking Hotspots” was published in the journal Acta Astronautica on March 4, 2022. As a speaker during the 37th Space Symposium in Colorado Springs (April 4-7, 2022), Yazici gave a presentation on her journal publication. Her other research, “Analysis: Legal Barriers Complicate Future in Orbit” was published in Q4 of The Space Report on January 18, 2022. The article discusses the Artemis Accords, the legality of anti-satellite (ASAT) weapons, and space debris mitigation, and offers recommendations for the U.S. and other international actors on how to address these issues. Yazici continues to have meetings in Capitol Hill and the White House on both of her publications.
As she proceeds her education in law school, Yazici plans to continue to advocate for an international system where reconnaissance satellites are used to detect human rights and animal welfare violations, keeping countries accountable.

Dr Wumi Alabi
Dr. Wumi Alabi is a Deputy Technical Director and Head of the Space Applications at the UN affiliated African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in English (ARCSSTE-E), Nigeria. Her primary assignment at ARCSSTE-E is to train graduate African students on the applications of satellite data.
A passionate educator with over 30-year experience of teaching students at different academic levels, she has also been actively involved in the Space Education Outreach Program of ARCSSTE-E, organizing local, national, and international programs to promote the interest of girls, school children, and teachers in space science. These programs include the UN Human Space Technology Initiative (UN-HSTI) “Zero-Gravity Instrument Project” and the Robotics Education Program. She is the founder of the Talbott Initiative for Girls in Science (TIGS), a Mentorship Program designed to promote the participation of African girls in the physical sciences. She is also actively involved in the Space4Women Mentorship Program of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA).
Dr. Alabi has various degrees and academic distinctions including an Interdisciplinary Doctoral Degree (IPhD), with triple honors in Geosciences, Physics, and Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, USA.
