Bio
Sailaja Vadlamudi is a Seasoned Security & Data Privacy professional, Mentor, Author, Researcher, Women, and Child Advocate on Digital Safety. She has over 18 years of exp. She is currently working as SAP Labs India‘s Application Security Lead, Director of Security & Data Privacy. Recently she made into the list of Top 20 Indian Women Security influencers. She is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Threat Modelling Expert, Certified Data Privacy Solution Engineer (CDPSE) Seasoned GDPR, and China Cybersecurity law specialist. She acts as an evangelist by frequently guest speaking in various national and international forums on Security, Privacy, shares its concept, and educates the audience to understand its relevance in the current digital era. These forums range from law enforcement, academia, corporates, start-ups, and industry.
She is a thought leader and researcher and actively contributes in several forums to name a few National level cyber skills framework by NASSCOM, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) IoT Security & Privacy Panel, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Bangalore Research Group.
As part of pro bono, she founded a non-profit organization, WiCSP – Women in cybersecurity and privacy and educating and sensitizing young girls and women in cyberspace. Many unsung sheroes were mentored and given opportunities to speak in several forums along her side in the security & privacy domain. Few of her most recent and notable contributions was lending her expertise on the Indian Personal Data Protection Bill (PDPB 2019), Non-Personal Data Governance framework (NPD), and Data Empowerment and Protection Architecture (DPEA), her paper on “ The Rise of Bots And Their Security-Privacy Challenges and Best Practices”. She works with multiple non-profits and is associated with Industry bodies and organizations worldwide. She believes and motivates her team to contribute to upcoming policies on cyberspace to be able to serve our country as this is the need of the hour
