Session: Who should be a teacher?
As creators of technology, through what we do, we are shaping how the world evolves and what it will look like tomorrow. What we're missing though, is what happens outside our tech bubble, when children are left behind from their future because education systems are not in sync with this rapidly changing world.
Join this talk to find out what people like you are doing to make sure the children of today keep up with what's next.
Bio
When I was in high-school I told my class mates that I wanted to pursue a degree in computer engineering. They looked at me and said: "that's too difficult for a girl, you should try something easier". I thought to myself "well... that's an interesting challenge", and a few years later I had a bachelors and masters degree in Computer Science.
Fast forward to current year, I've worked on software for clients such as Roche, delivered a product in partnership with Microsoft and funded my own technology non-profit organization on teaching kids theskills that they need for the future of jobs.
