Session: Multicloud adoption: How to find the silver lining
Cloud adoption has increased exponentially in the past few years, and migration to cloud is no longer a novelty but a necessity for businesses to thrive. Gartner has estimated that global cloud revenue will total $474 billion in 2022, up from $408 billion in 2021. Over the next few years, Gartner analysts also predict that cloud revenue will surpass non-cloud revenue for relevant enterprise IT markets.
Although organisations are persuaded that cloud is the right choice, they are still anxious about hosting their critical applications and data on a single cloud provider. This is because there are a number of potential risks attached to being tied to one cloud provider including outages, security breaches, and unexpected cost increases. Many organisations adopt a multicloud strategy to mitigate these risks by spreading resources across multiple cloud providers.
This talk will cover the benefits of multicloud architectures, deployment patterns, and the key considerations while adopting a multicloud approach.
