Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and management of innovative products that support research integrity within Springer Nature. As a key member of our Content Acquisition Product Group, you will be responsible for shaping the vision and strategy for our research integrity products while working closely with the Head of Research Integrity, Prevention (and Research Integrity Director), collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring seamless user experiences.

The role is both challenging and highly rewarding, offering the chance to shape cutting-edge products that uphold Springer Nature's high standards of research integrity, solidifying its reputation as a trusted source of scientific knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Management: Manage a portfolio of products that support research integrity, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs. Set and monitor OKRs for the portfolio
  • Research Integrity: Learn the research integrity principles and practices and gain an understanding of how such principles may be breached. Then become a champion for Research Integrity at Springer Nature
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders from across the business, as well as external stakeholders from other organizations, to deliver products that meet customer and commercial needs
  • User Engagement: Engage with users to understand their needs and preferences, influencing product development and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Team Leadership: Lead and interact with cross-functional teams to deliver products, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Roadmap Development: Develop and communicate product roadmaps, prioritizing features and ensuring alignment with business objectives

  • Expert in stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills, ability to facilitate timely decision making 
  • Demonstrable experience of Agile working within software development teams
  • User empathy and focus on creating value and driving product strategy 
  • Adaptability and comfort with uncertainty (AI development can be unpredictable)
  • Ethical mindset and commitment to responsible AI use
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to work across disciplines and departments
