Job Title: Receivables Specialist / Key User
Location(s): Berlin - Hybrid Working Model
About the Role
You will be part of a global finance team which, within the framework of the Shared Service Center in Berlin, takes over tasks from all finance areas for approx. 40 international Springer Nature companies. You will work for the Receivables Processes team, which serves as a Center of Excellence for the other operational teams in the Receivables Management department (Receivables Operations, Credit Risk Management, Collections) by taking care of all non-standard, technical and improvement activities, as well as project work and reporting.
Role Responsibilities:
- Continuous review, optimization and documentation of receivables management processes
- Technical improvements, process automation and bug fixing in cooperation with the IT department
- Project work (e.g. integration of new companies in SAP, system upgrades, process analysis and design)
- Various special tasks as required (e.g. credit card reconciliation, SAP integration projects, SAP interface monitoring and maintenance, process documentation + training, BI reporting, testing etc.)
- Cooperation with Customer Service, Sales Department and other Finance departments
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional experience in Receivables Management (Group Accounting, Credit Control or Collections), including project support
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and/or ERP 6.0, or similar systems
- Experience with Serrala solutions for SAP like FS² Autobank, FS² Credit, FS² Collections & Disputes, Alevate AR
- Experience with additional relevant software, e.g. Atlassian Jira, Freshdesk, business process modeling tools
- Global Shared Service Center experience
- High social competence
- Negotiation and decision-making competence
- High perseverance and resilience
- Very good English language skills, ideally combined with good German language skills
- Good time management and a self-sufficient working style
- Confident user of relevant software tools (MS Office, Google Workspace)
- Successfully completed commercial training ideally in an international company
