Job Summary

As a Maintenance Mechanic within the Workplace Experience facilities team, you perform general facility maintenance and repair work on NetApp buildings and property.  You ensure the proper functioning of the facilities through ongoing inspection, planned, and reactive maintenance.

Job Requirements

Essential Functions:
Maintain and repair facility structures, equipment, and grounds including:

  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • HVAC
  • Carpentry
  • General Labor

•    Perform skilled trade work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs, or office fixtures.
•    Operate on-site equipment.
•    Make regular inspections of the premises to determine repair work requirements.
•    Assist with internal moves and event setup.
•    Provide support to outside vendors/contractors such as security personnel, cafeteria, janitorial, etc.

Requirements:

•    Good written and verbal communication skills.  
•    Ability to work from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.
•    Strong mechanical ability. 
•    Ability to learn and adhere to departmental processes and standard procedures.
•    Attention to detail and follow-through is essential.

Responsibility and Interaction:

•    Responsibility:  
o    The types of tasks this individual is responsible for are a mix of planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, and tasks that will vary by day.  
o    This individual has expertise related to facility maintenance and handles a variety of tasks that are moderate to complex in scope.
o    Identifies problems and generates recommendations and possible solutions.

•    Interaction: 
o    This individual interacts primarily with Staff to Director level employees within the function, and the technical team on assigned projects.  There may be interaction with employees in other functions as required.
o    Utilizes strong communication and interpersonal skills to promote teamwork. 
o    Instruction will be provided based on department and facility needs, and general instructions will be provided on new projects and assignments.
o    The ideal candidate will be an important technical contributor to team projects.

Education

•    A minimum of 1 to 4 years related experience is required. 
•    Technical Degree or related college level coursework is desirable.

Physical Requirements

  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift/carry at least 50 pounds
  • Valid Class A driver’s license required to operate company-owned vehicles as necessary

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $59,500 - $83,600 and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
