Who We Are

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.

The Role

Join Kyndryl, the world’s largest technical services company, with 80,000 employees operating in over 60 countries and serving 75% of the Fortune 100 to modernize and manage the world’s mission-critical systems. Kyndryl provides advisory, implementation, and managed services to de-risk and support digital transformations.

Our business is to translate the skills inherent in our technical and consultative workforce into customer impact. We therefore seek to optimize the development and deployment of our employees’ skills, while providing an industry-leading experience for our Kyndryls and our clients. Kyndryl is one of the Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces®, and as a cutting-edge services company we know that our people are our success.

Kyndryl is a global, largely remote company, where you join a group of 40 People and Workforce Analytics professionals made up of business translators, data scientists, analysts and developers. We are fast, flat, and focused: you will engage with senior leadership, a diverse group of HR professionals, fellow data scientists and analysts as well as business leaders to ensure our insights are both scientifically rigorous and aligned with our business goals. Your work will directly influence our enterprise strategy and operations and impact tens of thousands of employees.

As a Lead Data Scientist you will be hands on Data Scientist designing and implementing advanced analytics models that predict future workforce skills gaps and provide actionable insights to optimize hiring, upskilling, and workforce engagement. You will spearhead the creation of an end-to-end labor optimization model. This model solves for the technical and other skills needed to provide value to our clients, the growth, development and satisfaction of our workforce as well as contractual, legal, geographic and cost constraints. You will create a state-of-the-art predictive model that will best leverage diverse datasets to optimize how we staff, hire, and train our 80,000 Kyndryls.

Specifically, you'll be responsible for:

  • Model Development: Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms to forecast workforce needs and identify skills gaps.
  • Data Exploration: Conduct data analysis and identify trends, patterns, and insights from structured and unstructured data to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Collaboration with Data Engineering: Partner with the Data Engineer to ensure data is collected, processed, and made available for modeling in an efficient and scalable way.
  • Optimization Algorithms: Develop optimization models that recommend actions such as upskilling, hiring, or engaging talent based on forecasted gaps in workforce capabilities.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor model performance and work with the team to refine models for better accuracy and efficiency.
  • Data Visualization: Communicate key insights through dashboards, reports, and presentations using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work with HR, business leaders, and other stakeholders to understand workforce needs and align data models with business objectives.
